Fantastic 4

 I love all super hero movies. Marvel, DC, and everything in-between. I don't know if this movie fits into the love category though. Not in a bad way, just different. I enjoyed the movie very much. It had a feel unlike the other Marvel movies that are on the list of my faves. (Ragnarok is a 10 out of 10, so you get a sense of what I am talking about.) And this really isn't an origin story, as much as it is just simply an introduction to these people. We all know the origins from past movies and comics, so I guess they figured we didn't need to see it again. That's fair, but maybe I needed a bit more in regards to character development. I really can't put it into words without spoiling it, so I won't. 

The old school set designs and costumes were gorgeous, and the actors were perfect. Pedro's Mr. Fastastic was my least fave character, and he is an amazing actor, big fan.  So the other 3 really shined in this movie.  Now Galactus was freaking awesome! I am fan of cool bad guys and this guy hits the nail on the head. I need more Galactus swag in my house. Let's not forget Herbie, the robot. I think it's the first time we see him in the movies, and he is perfect. 

Superhero movies are my jam and this one is no different. Go see it and we can discuss. 

Superman

 As my friends know, I love to watch movies. I love 90% of everything I watch. Superman was no different. I loved this movie and to be honest I was going into it thinking I would hate it. Not really sure why I thought that. I think maybe because my Superman is Christopher Reeves and I like it that way. But this new guy has a different version of the man of steel and I am ok with it. No.... I loved it. This move was filled with action/ adventure and you can't beat a cute puppy. Honesty, Krypto stole the show. But, he is a dog, so I'm not surprised. 

I've seen all of the Superman movies and this movie comes in as a solid 2nd place to the original. Mr. Reeves is still the best. It doesn't hurt that I once met Margo Kidder (Louis Lane) in person and she was so kind and sweet. So that original flying Krypotnian holds a special place in my heart. 

Go see this movie. It's a good time and shouldn't be missed by any fellow nerds. 

Spaceballs (The movie)

 If you are not laughing while watching this movie, you may want to seek out some therapy. For me, this movie IS therapy. Having a bad day? Watch Spaceballs. Mad at the government? Watch Spaceballs. Stubbed your toe? Watch Spaceballs. I think you get the point. 

The Amount of slapstick ridiculousness is perfect and always puts a smile on my face. I could not recommend a movie more. So 100 thumbs up. Hoping for 100 more thumbs up once the new Spaceballs movie comes out in 2 years. Yep, that is correct, another movie is on the way. It's that good.
